Eight-year-old Harry Owen from Begelly is heading for the top in boys gymnastics. Harry is a pupil at St. Oswald's School and a member of Orielton and Milford gym clubs.

He is pictured after recent successes of winning the Pembrokeshire Year 3 boys championships at Tenby and being selected for the Pembrokeshire boys under 11 team for the inter-county match against the top under 11 teams from Carmarthenshire, Cardiganshire and Llanelli.

He finished ninth out of the 20 of West Wales's top under 11 boy gymnasts and also gained another medal success by finishing fourth in the under 11 Cardiff Open Tumble and Vault Competition at the Welsh Institute of Sport.

Harry still has three more years competing in this age group and it is hoped that his move up the rankings will lead to him competing at national level in the future.
