Dyfed Powys Police continue to investigate an incident of threats against a pupil at a Carmarthenshire school this week.

Threats were made against a student of Ysgol Bro Myrddin in Carmarthen, with the secondary school placed into locdown on Wednesday afternoon (December 10).

A police spokesperson said: “The 17-year-old male from Carmarthenshire who was arrested on suspicion of threats to kill, has been released on bail with conditions that prevent him from attending Ysgol Bro Myrddin.

“Bail conditions also include a nightly curfew and a requirement to hand over any digital devices at an officers’ request for review.

“The male under arrest is not a student at the school, and the arrest was not made at the school.

“Enquiries into the incident continue.”
