Staff and pupils at Templeton Community Primary School were delighted with the results of their recent school inspection report.
Inspectors who visited the school noted that it had maintained or improved upon the high standards identified in the last report.
The quality of relationships and behaviour throughout the school is very good. This, it was noted, contributes to the pupils' self-esteem, confidence and positive behaviour.
In Reception all aspects were seen as good or very good and Key Stages One and Two as good or satisfactory. Inspectors concluded that the school provides the children with a broad and balanced curriculum.
The school was reported to be a happy, caring and orderly community. The way the school deals with social inclusion was described as exemplary.
Pupils display good manners and positive attitudes towards their lunchtime supervisors.
Inspectors noted that all the adults at the school have a good knowledge of the children and offer an extensive range of extra curricular activities.
The governing body of the school fulfils all its responsibilities effectively and efficiently.
It was noted that the school places great value on its partnership with parents and the community of Templeton. Parents, friends and governors make a valuable contribution to the life and work of the school.
Inspectors suggested that further improvements could be made by maintaining good standards, developing key skills and improving medium and short term planning.
