Beatrice Bowen Rees, aged 12, from Whitland, and Louise Marsden, aged 11, from Narberth (pictured together front centre) were among 30 students from Stagecoach Theatre Arts School, Swansea, who took to the stage this week at The Grand Theatre, Swansea.

Ellen Kent productions were in town with their opera production Turandot and required some expert help from the local stage school. A company spokesman was delighted with their efforts and commented: "The students' flair and adaptability was fantastic!"

Students attend the busy stage school in Swansea on weekends through term time and travel from all over South and West Wales from as far afield as Milford Haven, Tenby and Aberporth.

Stagecoach principal Luan Davies was delighted with the students' efforts.

"This was another great opportunity for the students to put their skills to the test - and I'm delighted that they passed with flying colours!" she said.
