A familiar face will soon be back in the Mayoral role in Tenby, as Clr. Mrs. Sue Lane has been chosen as Mayor-elect. Clr. Mrs. Lane was the only councillor to put her name forward to don the scarlet robes of office at a meeting of the town council last Friday and she was unanimously supported by her colleagues. The meeting was held to swear-in the new members following the elections, which saw some surprises, with outgoing Mayor, Clr. John Griffiths, and his Deputy, Clr. Mrs. Kerri Durham both losing their seats. Clr. Mrs. Lane will become Tenby's 619th Mayor at tonight's (Friday) Mayor-making ceremony at the town's De Valence. It will be the fourth time she has held office.
