Pembrokeshire Horticultural Society is holding a Garden Craft and Michaelmas Plant Sale at Scolton Manor on Saturday, September 29. This will be an excellent opportunity to stock up on plants at one of the best planting times of the year. A wide range of traders and nurseries will have stands in the grounds surrounding the manor house and, as usual, this will give members of the public an opportunity to get expert advice directly from the growers.

In addition to the horticultural traders, there will be silk painting and wood turning demonstrations, together with musical interludes and gardening talks. Entrance to this event is just £1 and the event is open from 10 am until 5 pm.

The talk for the October members' meeting will be on the subject of 'Herbs' and will be given by Anne Seaman, of Heritage Herbs, Llangrannog. This is an opportunity to learn a little more about one of the most popular horticultural subjects and for members to enjoy cheese and wine after the talk in a convivial atmosphere.

Visitors are welcome to this meeting at Scolton Manor on October 8, at 7.30 pm, at a charge of £1, and is an opportunity to learn a little more about Pembrokeshire Horticultural Society.
