Brilliant weather and huge crowds paid a visit to Saundersfoot on Sunday for the culmination of this year's Pembrokeshire Fish Week at the village's harbour festival. A huge shoal of people thronged the harbour area to celebrate all things fishy as part of the popular annual festival. Supported by the Saundersfoot Harbour Commission and organised by Harbour manager Michael Davies and the Pembrokeshire Fish Week team, the Saundersfoot festival included a host of events and displays - as well as plenty of fish eating opportunities! Among the highlights was a display of filleting skills by Nick Bryant, of Fish at 85, who showed what could be done with a variety of locally landed fish. Visitors were then able to buy the fish from the Qube charity BBQ in aid of the Paul Sartori charity. Meanwhile, the more active could opt for a longboat rowing taster session offered by Wiseman's Bridge Rowers. The Wacky raft race was also a great success with six local businesses competing on fancy-dress themed rafts. It was won by Pipe Dream manned by Darren Thompson and crew. Younger visitors weren't left out either, with a huge variety of activities on offer, including drop-in fishy craft, Punch and Judy shows and face-painting by Heatherton. Or they could go rock pool dipping and Seine net fishing with the Darwin Centre and Dragon LNG. The sandcastle competition, with prizes donated by Oakwood Theme Park, was won by Abby and Alfie Prance. While the annual Rotary duck race took place in the afternoon. Meanwhile, the Schools Band Jazz Ensemble and Fiddle Box group serenaded visitors throughout the day with music.
