Saundersfoot Footlights needs you - especially if you are a man!
Following their very successful pantomime, the time has come to cast this year's musical, 'Showboat'.
This well-loved show follows the fortunes of not only some of the members of the 'Cotton Blossom' troupe, but also Magnolia, the daughter of the Showboat's owner, and her new husband, Gaylord Rabenal, when for various reasons they leave the boat and go their own ways.
With such songs as 'Can't help lovin' dat man', 'Make believe' and, of course, 'Ol' man river', Showboat is a hit whenever it is performed.
Why not go along to a pre-audition musical afternoon to be held at 2 pm this Sunday, January 11, at the Education Centre, Westfield Road, Saundersfoot, when under the expert guidance of the musical director, Clive Raymond, you will be able to get a feel for the music, both solos and choral, before the auditions.
If you like what you hear, and both Clive and the director, Helen Wright, are sure you will, then they will be very pleased to see you at the auditions, which will be held at 7 pm on Friday, January 16, at the Regency Hall, Saundersfoot, and at 2 pm on Sunday, January 18, at the Education Centre.
