Sir,

As a former Tenby resident and regular reader of your newspaper, I felt compelled to write in defence of the hot-dog seller outside St. Mary's Church. The letter complaining about the location of the hot-dog stand was hardly Christian in spirit. Sometimes there are more important things in life than aesthetics - like paying the bills and putting food on the table. In the current economic climate, surely we should be heralding the hot-dog seller for his drive to generate an income, rather than simply relying on state support? Finally, let's remember the Bible, Isaiah 22:13: 'Let us eat and drink; for tomorrow we shall die'. Food for thought indeed. Mike Griffiths, Hertfordshire.
