ON Tuesday, Millie Hartland was guest of honour at Tenby's Belvedere House Residential Care Home's annual Easter Bonnet Parade.

Unbeknown to Millie, there was another reason for the invitation. Millie was presented with a retirement gift of a garden bench after a collection was organised by staff.

Millie enjoys spending time in her award-winning garden, so it was the perfect gift. She was also presented with a retirement cake and flowers from Mrs. Mary Lloyd and Mrs. Tracy Skidmore (managers).

Millie said a tearful goodbye to residents and staff of Belvedere House Residential Care Home after more than 17 years as the home's cook.

The management, staff and residents would like to thank Millie for all her fantastic food, especially the cakes, over the past 17 years, and would like to give Millie their best wishes for her well-earned retirement.
