The November meeting of Tenby Ladies Circle, held at the Fourcroft Hotel, got off to an early start as the girls had a make-over in readiness for the trip to London.

Chairman Dilys inducted newest member Julia Sharpe. The minutes were read by Julia Sweet.

The next fund-raiser for the Ty Hafan area project will be a quiz night on November 28 at Tenby Bowling Club (don't forget girls, food to Jayne by 6.30).

The children's disco will be held in Hooters on Friday, November 30, 6-8 pm (seven to 12 years). Any Circler available to bag sweets to meet at Claire's at 1.30 on the 29th.

The Ty Hafan appeal received a welcome boost in the form of a £1,000 cheque from Tenby firemen. A good contingent of girls joined the boys for nibbles and drinks and were delighted to receive such a generous donation.

Dilys represented Circle at the annual service of remembrance at the cenotaph.

Circlers received their invitation to the TRT Ladies Night at the Giltar Hotel on December 7.

Julia Sweet then reported on the highly successful golf day. She said she had started to panic at the beginning of September when no teams were coming forward. However, local businesses and organisations snapped up the sponsored holes and a few weeks later 25 teams had entered.

Julia said that the atmosphere on the day was superb and four months of hard work had paid off for the Ty Hafan appeal.

Ruth Goldwait announced that the Christmas dinner would be a 'masked' affair at Redberth Lodge on December 15. Any Circler or Tangent member wishing to attend, please contact Ruth as soon as possible.

Chan Griffiths thanked members for her impressive bouquet of flowers following the birth of the latest addition to the family, Emily. President Tony was on hand to do the honours and beat all Circle records by managing to do it within a week of the birth!

Circlers were reminded that the Christmas meeting will take place on December 13 when members should bring a present to the value of £5.
