Members of the junior dramatic society of Greenhill Secondary School, Tenby, have two performances of The Snow Queen at the school hall. The play was based on a Hans Andersen story.

As a result of a game on Tenby golf course in which a young boy was hit in the face by an air-gun pellet, two schoolboys appeared before Tenby juvenile court.

Two young Tenby men who were unsuccessful in the May municipal elections were to fight it would again for a seat on the borough council at a by-election. The two candidates were James Frederick Titterton, guest house proprietor, and Michael Williams, insurance agent and honorary secretary of Tenby branch of Plaid Cymru.

Four Guides from the 4th Tenby Guide Company took part in a swimming gala at Milford Haven open-air pool. All the Guides did extremely well - one, Gaynor Blackmore winning the backstroke, obstacle and greasy pole events, but their district commissioner, Miss M. Bury, of Penally, said afterwards the gala only underlined the need for a swimming pool at Tenby.
