On Thursday, September 23, a large audience enjoyed an Autumn Fashion Show presented by T. P. Hughes, of Tenby, in aid of Tenby RNLI. The event was held at the Royal Gatehouse Hotel and the compere for the evening was Ruth Webb, whose excellent and humorous commentary helped put all the models at their ease and make the evening go with a swing. Many thanks Ruth. Anna and Kathy at T. P. Hughes had selected a superb variety of outfits to show the huge range of choice available at T. P. Hughes this autumn. Outfits ranged from casual wear and daywear, including some 'special occasion' outfits, through to rainwear and some lovely winter coats, by Gerry Weber, Olsen, Stills, First Avenue and Paul separates. The highlight of the show was the many stunning evening dresses by Gina Bacconi and Consortium. The outfits were complemented with hats, jewellery, handbags, scarves and pashminas, all available at T. P. Hughes. The models were: Carol Lloyd, Angela Hill, Meryl Sharp, Chris Thomas and Marjella Thomas (T. P. Hughes) and Nicole Evans, Jayne Hughes, Pat Matthews, Althea Shaw, Sam Jackson, Donna Keating and Sally Ann Taylor (RNLI committee and friends). Kate Blair and staff, of Tenby, had spent a busy afternoon styling all the models' hair. The super new hairstyles were complemented by make-up expertly applied by Louise Walker and Julie Morris. Thanks go to all of them for their hard work and immense contribution to the evening. The committee wish to thank again, Anna and staff at T. P. Hughes and Mr. Graham Fry for so generously providing the excellent venue. Thanks also to all local businesses who donated raffle prizes and to Matthew and Chris at the harbourmaster's office, who erected the stage. Many thanks to Penny Jackson, of the Boathouse Tea Rooms, Stackpole, who provided the delicious canapes which the audience enjoyed with a glass of wine. Thanks, too, to Sandyhill Nurseries for the lovely floral displays. Special thanks to Shan John and Lynne Crockford for organising and co-ordinating such an enjoyable evening. Final thanks to all who supported the event by attending and helping to raise a total of £1,456 for RNLI funds. It is hoped to persuade everyone involved to repeat the performance in 05!
