The marriage took place recently between Nigel Williams and Rachel James, at St. Ishmael's Church, Uzmaston. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Williams, of Parcymarl, Llysyfran, and the bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Meirion James, Cotts Park, Uzmaston. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a silk white, French taffeta dress, with a full-length scattered crystal veil. Matron-of-honour was Sian Mills (bride's best friend) and the bridesmaids were Carolyn James and Joy Williams (bride and groom's sisters). They all wore stunning aqua green Chinese silk dresses with hairpieces and bouquets of pink gloriosas. The groom had two best men, Martyn Williams (his brother) and Mathew Van-Dyjk (his best friend), assisted by ushers Richard, David and Philip James (bride's brothers), Richard Phillips (groom's cousin), Matthew Barrett, Andrew Reed and Roger James (groom's friends).
Following the ceremony, the guests enjoyed a reception in a magnificent, fairy-lit marquee overlooking Llysyfran dam. After a honeymoon in Switzerland, the bridegroom, who is a farmer, and the bride, a teacher, returned to make their home in Pembrokeshire.
