Colby Woodland Gardens was the magical setting for Amroth Community Carnival's recent Summer Ball.

The rain stayed away, the sun shone and the setting was perfect for the turreted marquee, which had a fairytale appeal.

This, combined with good food, great music and pleasant company provided all the ingredients for an enjoyable evening.

It was also a very successful one, because monies raised, by the raffle and auction, amounted to £2,500.

Abba 2 and DJ David Morgan ensured that the dance floor was never empty and it was with reluctance that people finally left the dance floor to wend their way home.

Thanks are expressed to the National Trust and Mr. and Mrs. Scourfield-Lewis for allowing the event to take place at Colby.

It is hoped, that when donations etc are collected in, in excess of £3,000 will be presented to the Air Ambulance Wales and Tenby Lifeboat.
