There was a large turnout for Wings Over Carew 2022 which was a great success.

Attendees at Saturday’s event included the City of Swansea Pipe Band and the 14th Signal Regiment from Cawdor Barracks (Brawdy). The RAF Falcons Parachute team took to the skies during Saturday’s event, and spectators could witness Lancaster bombers soaring through the air.

Pop-up exhibitions included Pembroke Dock Heritage Centre and Pembroke and Monkton History Society, and a selection of military vehicles, old and new, were there to be admired.

A memorial service was held during the day - one that brought back memories for some. Many visitors shared their appreciation via social media.

Tenby, Saundersfoot and Narberth Police posted on their Facebook page that it was “wonderful to see South Pembrokeshire Cadets parading their colours at Wings Over Carew.

“Great turnout from the cadets and drill practice paying off”, they added. “Thanks to Diogel, the Dyfed-Powys Police and Crime Commissioner’s charity for funding the new flags.”
