On a scorching hot Saturday - ‘The Hay Shantymen’ have been performing at Tenby's lifeboat stations and the bandstand, as well as other venues in and around the seaside town, raising money for the RNLI.

The group which is based in Hay-on-Wye get together to rollick their way through shanties and other great songs!

They have adopted the RNLI as their charity and raise funds wherever they perform. To date they have raised in excess of £8,500.

Every year, The Hay Shantymen “go off on a jolly” spending the weekend at a town with a lifeboat station and singing there to raise funds for the local RNLI (and possibly visiting the odd hostelry).

This year it’s Tenby and on Saturday, September 9 they are singing at both lifeboat stations, the Sailing Club and the Hope and Anchor.
