ON Friday, July 10, Allan yn y Fan, one of Wales' foremost traditional bands, will be filling the stage and raising the rafters at the beautiful 200-year-old former coalminers’ chapel at Burnett’s Hill, Martletwy.

With an impressive catalogue of concert, festival and recorded work, as well as a number of European tours to their credit, the band is now a multi-instrumental sextet, as famed for their beautiful vocals as for their fiery instrumentals. Collectively they breathe new life into the traditional songs and music of Wales and the other Celtic nations, as well as writing their own tunes inspired by their homeland and travels.

Tickets for the concert, which starts at 7.30pm, can be reserved by phoning 01646 651725.
