Internationally acclaimed Indian circus troupe, Circus Raj, will headline this year’s Haverfordwest Children’s Festival, bringing a spectacular finale to a week of creative family fun.

Supported by the Arts Council of Wales, the festival returns for its fourth year from Saturday 18 to Friday 24 July, offering a packed programme of activities for children and families during the summer holidays.Festival workshops take place throughout Haverfordwest.

Young artists can enjoy printmaking with Popty Press - designing and printing bags, creating imaginative creatures and hand-printing lampshades. Other highlights include a Photograms Workshop in collaboration with Pembrokeshire College, Groovy Harps for young musicians, and interactive drama sessions in the Merlin Theatre.

Families can get creative together making a Family Collage with artist Di Ford, while a new partnership with Forest School Pembrokeshire and Freya Dare Dance introduces outdoor fun combining forest school activities, dance and nature art.

For curious minds, Pembrokeshire College is hosting a Pasta Making class and the action-packed SparkLab Engineering Workshop, sponsored by Valero, where children can experience virtual reality welding, build phone holders and take part in hands-on engineering challenges.

The programme also includes three inclusive workshops delivered in partnership with ASD Family Help, providing creative art, drama and music opportunities for neurodivergent children and those with additional learning needs.

A magical bilingual theatre show for under-fives follows the adventures of a curious puffin named Pâl, combining puppetry, music and sensory play delivered by Cardiff-based theatre group, Flossy & Boo.

The festival concludes on Friday, July 24 with a finale inspired by the vibrant music, dance and circus traditions of India. Children will enjoy Punjabi beats, Bollywood vibes, and fun Bhangra moves in a dance workshop by TenderNest CIC's RaniRise Movement Project.

Direct from Rajasthan, Circus Raj will bring the festival to a thrilling close with breathtaking acrobatics, extraordinary circus skills and world-class performances in a spectacular show that will captivate audiences of all ages.
