Pembrokeshire Pride is proud to announce the launch of its first major exhibition, Progressing Pride in Pembrokeshire, opening at the Joanna Field Gallery at the TorchTheatre, a two-week public showing from 13–29 September 2025.
The exhibition offers a striking and thought-provoking visual journey through the experiences, challenges, and hopes of LGBTQ+ people and allies in Pembrokeshire today.
At its core is a vibrant artistic interpretation of data collected through Pembrokeshire Pride’s in-depth community survey. The survey explored local perspectives on key areas including healthcare access, public services, socio-economic conditions, politics, and daily life in Pembrokeshire. All data has been fully anonymised and transformed into creative visual works that invite visitors to engage both emotionally and critically with the findings.
Alongside this, the exhibition reflects Pembrokeshire Pride’s own story: its transformation from a small grassroots community group into a safe, supportive, and visible force for equality and inclusion in the county. Through personal narratives, visual displays, and collective memory, Progressing Pride in Pembrokeshire celebrates how far the movement has come - and shares its vision for a brighter, bolder future.
“This exhibition is about more than data. It’s about people’s lived realities-what it feels like to belong, to struggle, and to push for change in Pembrokeshire,” said Lewis George, EDI Partner of Pembrokeshire Pride. “We’re proud to share not only the challenges but also the resilience andhope that shine through our community’s voices.”
The exhibition marks a milestone moment for Pembrokeshire Pride as it continues to create safe spaces, amplify under represented voices, and contribute to a more inclusive future for the county.
The Progressing Pride in Pembrokeshire Exhibition is open during Box Office opening times. The exhibition is free and there’s a warm welcome for all. Visit www.torchtheatre.co.uk or phone the Box Office on 01646 695267 for details.
