STOP PRESS:

Regrettably, ‘Matilda’ has had to be postponed again because of illness.

Visions Arts have issued the following update:

Very many thanks for your support of Vision Youth Theatre. However, we are very sorry to tell you that the performances have had to be postponed once again - this time because a significant number of the young cast have contracted Norovirus, a particularly nasty and infectious gastric condition.

Now that children are beginning to mix and mingle it was inevitable that many childhood illnesses would rear their ugly heads - and sadly, our production has been a casualty.

We have not taken the decision to postpone lightly - but the young people have worked so hard to put together an amazing show - so it would not be fair to them to go ahead with performances when so many of them would be unable to take part and it wouldn’t be fair to audiences to see a below-par show.

Tickets will be automatically transferred to new dates once we are able to confirm them. Please get in touch if you have any other queries at [email protected]

Once again, very many thanks for your support and understanding.

Proving that the show must go on, Vision Youth Theatre’s production of Matilda Jr will finally go live next Thursday and Friday at the De Valence Pavilion, in Tenby.

The young actors from Vision’s Youth Theatre, based in Haverfordwest, have been forced to postpone the show more than once because of Covid concerns - but at last they will get to perform this fun show for audiences next week.

Based on the book by Roald Dahl and written by Dennis Kelly and Tim Minchin, the magical story of Matilda is the naughty but nice tale of an extraordinary young girl who triumphs in a world of bullies and badness.

The show involves young people from right across Pembrokeshire, all of who attend Vision Youth Theatre, and is directed by Drew Baker. There will be four performances - one at 6 pm and one at 7.45 pm on Thursday and Friday, February 24 and 25. Tickets are available from Vision Arts’ website or by calling 01437 723493.

Are you ready to get naughty?
