Get ready to dust off your crafts and clear out your attics - as the much-loved New Hedges Makers Market and Car Boot Sale celebrates its 47th anniversary this summer and is calling on local makers and car boot enthusiasts to join the fun and set up shop.

Every Wednesday, from May through September, the New Hedges Village Hall transforms into a bustling hub of unique creations and pre-loved treasures.

For generations, this event has drawn thousands of visitors, creating a vibrant atmosphere for both buyers and sellers, of which the market holds 100+ stalls.

Now, the organisers are inviting even more local talent and bargain hunters to become part of this cherished local tradition.

For just a humble £5 per stall (which comfortably fits two tables - please bring your own!), you can showcase your handmade goods, vintage finds, or anything in between to a friendly and enthusiastic crowd.

The small fee collected from stall rentals plays a vital role in supporting the New Hedges Village Hall throughout the quieter winter months, ensuring it remains a valuable resource for everyone in the village.

The weekly market runs from 9am to 1pm, with sellers welcome to set up from 8.30am.

While there's no entry fee for the public, any donations to the Village Hall are always gratefully received.
