Hayscastle WI members invite you to join them in celebrating 50 years with events at Noddfa Newton Chapel.

Hayscastle WI was formed in 1973. President Kathryn Wilkins said she felt very proud to be a WI member; being the third generation in her family to be a member of the same WI, she is excited for the celebrations of Hayscastle WI.

Kathryn’s mother and late grandmother were founder members of Hayscastle WI, and they enjoyed the fun and friendship of the organisation, also learning new skills and helping to make a difference in the community.

A very warm welcome is extended to everybody to Noddfa Newton Chapel, Hayscastle, near Haverfordwest, on Saturday, September 23 between 11am and 5pm to view Hayscastle WI’s take on WI through the ages. Entry is free and refreshments will be available at the Community Centre next door to the Chapel.

On the following evening, Sunday, September 24 there will be a Gymanfa Ganu / Singing Festival at the Chapel at 7pm; programmes are £5 each and again there is a very warm welcome to all.

On November 4, a celebration lunch will be held at Wolfscastle Country Hotel. All past members and friends are very welcome to join current members and members of other WIs from around Pembrokeshire. The ladies of Hayscastle are delighted and feel honoured that NFWI Chair Ann Jones DL will be guest speaker at the event.

Hayscastle WI would also be delighted to welcome new members, please contact Kathryn Wilkins 01348 840358.
