A Tenby play celebrates Dylan Thomas as 2023 marks the 70th anniversary of his death and the first performance of Under Milk Wood.

In celebration of the writer and his wonderful works, Tenby Community Festival is putting on For As Long As Forever Is, a performance piece based around the life and work of Dylan, written by Mark Lewis. The cast is made up of Andrew Davies as narrator, Harry Gardiner, Jayne King and Sharon Thompson.

For As Long As Forever Is has been performed previously as part of the Tenby Arts Festival, and also at Tenby Museum where Mark previously worked as Curator before moving into the heritage sector as a freelancer. The work has recently been updated.

Mark says: “2023 is special for Dylan fans and it seems only right that we celebrate the genius of the man. I am delighted that the Tenby Community Festival is able to put on this performance this year.”

The performance will take place at Church House at 7pm on Friday, September 29 and runs for around one hour. Tickets are £6, to be paid for in cash at the door.
