Back by popular demand, DJ, musician and TV Star Martin Kemp will be returning to Tenby and Swansea this October to present his hit ‘Back to the 80s’ DJ set..
Following previous sold-out success across South Wales, the Spandau Ballet star is lining up new shows in Swansea’s Patti Pavilion (October 17) and Tenby’s De Valence Pavilion (October 18). With a show that’s quickly becoming one of the biggest 80’s nights in the UK, Martin will be spinning all the best hits from the decade all night long.
Dust-off those dancing shoes and spread the word far and wide - the hitmaker behind ‘Gold’, 'True’ and countless other classics - will be taking to the decks and setting the coordinates strictly for the 1980s.
It’s safe to say Martin Kemp is something of an expert when it comes to the trailblazing hits of that unforgettable decade in pop music. Fast forward to the 2020’s and Martin’s ‘Back To The 80s’ DJ show proves those timeless songs have lost none of their lustre. Expect an electrifying journey soundtracked by pop’s finest pedigree, from Duran Duran to Chaka Khan, George Michael to Michael Jackson, Spandau Ballet and beyond.

Alongside his famous role as bassist in the iconic new wave outfit Spandau Ballet who have sold millions of records worldwide, Martin is also a recognised TV personality. Most recently seen on the hit documentary ‘The Kemps: All Gold’ which was broadcast over the Christmas period, Kemp has also made notable appearances on Channel 4’s Goggle Box with his Capital Radio DJ son Roman, Celebrity Island with Bear Grylls, plus Martin and Roman’s Sunday morning TV show.
As an actor, Martin Kemp continues to have a truly distinguished career. He has also played lead roles in likes of The Krays and Eastenders, plus Starring in Gary Barlow’s Let it Shine, and most recently The Masked Singer alongside his wife Shirlie. At the end of last year Martin also released his music memoir, Ticket to the World: My 80s Story, a joyous, nostalgic celebration of 80s culture from one man at the centre of it all, which touched on the New Romantics, Spandau Ballet, Live Aid and beyond.
80s fashion for the night is an absolute must, so don’t forget to dig out those leg warmers, shoulder pads and other stylistic stunners that helped you stand out from the pack in that iconic era. Fancy Dress is very much welcome. Expect an ecstatic atmosphere all night long!
