Sir,

I write this appeal in the sincere hope that ratepayers who are decent, caring citizens of this historic and beautiful town of ours take action now before it really is too late to rid our town of 'trash' weekend binge drinkers the pubs and certain hotels are catering for - to the detriment of the town and we who live here.

We can talk and make endless criticism between ourselves about the appalling situation, but its time the talking stopped and action prevailed.

The licensing laws must be changed if we are to start at 'the root' of this outrageous and disgusting problem, and licensees should not be allowed to serve alcohol to anyone who is already 'under the influence of'!

If these two main areas are addressed and erased, the element of sickening behaviour our town has been forced to suffer would soon disappear, there would be nothing here to attracts them would there? Certainly nothing that your normal respectable resident or visitor appreciates year after year.

I speak from many experiences that have affected me personally and my family of the aftermath when the pub doors close and these people spill out onto the streets.

With their foul language aggressive behaviour offensive dress - sometimes no dress - and evenmore offensive accessories, which anyone reading this letter can identify.

We must stop it now before 'the jewel in the crown' totally becomes 'the pit-stop of Wales.'

We can do it, its been achieved in other towns by those who are strong and determined not to be intimidated 'Zero Tolerance' means just that.

Let's make Tenby once again a town where ordinary people can feel privileged to live and visit and the generation that follows can carry on the standard we have achieved together. The same standard we inherited from our parents, but has been lost along the way.

I can be contacted on (01834) 843611.

Jennifer Morgan,

8 The Norton,

Tenby.
