Ysgol Greenhill in Tenby is celebrating another year of excellent A Level, AS and Level 3 results, with many pupils achieving their target grades across a wide range of academic and vocational qualifications.

Headteacher David Haynes paid tribute to the achievements of the pupils and the dedication they have shown throughout their studies.

"Today is a day of immense pride for our entire school community. Our pupils have worked exceptionally hard and have demonstrated outstanding commitment, perseverance and ambition throughout their time in the sixth form,” he said.

“These results reflect not only academic success but also the resilience, character and determination of a remarkable group of young people. They have embraced every opportunity available to them and have made an invaluable contribution to the life of the school. We are immensely proud of all they have achieved."

The Headteacher also thanked the school's staff for their unwavering commitment to supporting pupils throughout their academic journey.

"I would like to place on record my sincere thanks to our outstanding teaching and support staff. Their dedication, professionalism and care have enabled our pupils to thrive and achieve their very best,” he continued.

“Behind every successful pupil is a team of staff who have worked tirelessly to provide guidance, encouragement and challenge, and I am extremely grateful for their efforts.

"We are thrilled that so many have secured destinations that reflect their aspirations and ambitions. Whether progressing to university, apprenticeships, training or employment, we are confident they will continue to achieve great success and make a positive contribution to society.

“They leave Ysgol Greenhill as capable, compassionate and ambitious young people, and we look forward to hearing of their future achievements."

The school also wishes to recognise the contribution made by its Sixth Form Leadership Team, whose commitment to the wider school community has been exemplary.

"Our Head Prefects, Jem and Libby, together with the wider Sixth Form Leadership Team, have been exceptional role models,” continued Mr Haynes.

“They have demonstrated outstanding leadership, supported younger pupils and represented the school with distinction. Their contribution has helped shape a positive and ambitious culture within our school community, and we are extremely grateful for their service.

“Whilst celebrating the success of departing Year 13 pupils, Ysgol Greenhill is also looking forward to the future of its thriving sixth form provision.

"As we congratulate our Year 13 pupils and wish them every success in their next steps, we are equally excited about welcoming our Lower Sixth pupils back to begin their Upper Sixth year on Wednesday, September 2.

“Pupils will return to a significantly refurbished Sixth Form Centre, which has benefitted from a range of upgrades over the summer.

“These improvements reflect our ongoing commitment to providing outstanding facilities and an inspiring learning environment that supports both academic achievement and personal development.

“We look forward to welcoming pupils back to facilities that will help them flourish and achieve their aspirations,” added the Tenby secondary school head.
