A fabulous evening was had at Ysgol Greenhill’s Lower School Awards Evening. Thank you to our school’s PTA and the Co-op, Tenby, for their kind donations and for providing refreshments.

The packed itinerary showcased some of our talented students, including Elizabeth Morgan, pianist, performing Bryllupsdag pa Trollhaugen by Greig/Wedding Day in Trollhaugen; Kiah Lindsay and Daisy Scotcher singing, and Nell, Immy and Kacey from the Kelly Williams School of Dance performing street dance.

Guest speaker was Mrs. Sarah Reay, past pupil and author of The Half Shilling Curate. The Half-Shilling Curate, as he was affectionately known by his family, tells the very personal story of an Army Chaplain, the Reverend Herbert Butler Cowl from Christmas Eve 1914 to the end of hostilities in 1919. More information can be found at www.halfshillingcurate.com. We are very grateful to Mrs. Reay for giving up her time to come and share her story.

Awards were presented by Mr McGovern, headmaster, and Mrs. Reay, with the evening compered by Mrs. K. Campbell, assistant head.

Llongyfarchiadau/congratulations to all of our worthy winners. We wish you continued success in the following academic years at Ysgol Greenhill. If you were unable to attend, please visit Mrs Rees in the Pastoral Office 618 to collect your award.
