CELEBRATING their diamond wedding anniversary last Thursday were Ivor and Beryl Smith, of Harries Street, Tenby.

Born and bred in the town, Ivor married Beryl, of Redberth, at Pembroke Register Office 60 years ago on March 26, 1949.

The couple, who have a son Richard, daughter-in-law Penny, and three granddaughters, Alex, who lives in Belfast, Sam, who is in Eastbourne, and Harriet, a student at Aberystwyth University, are looking forward to a family celebration when all the girls are next home.

When asked for their recipe for a successful marriage, both agreed it was 'give and take' that had contributed to their happy times together.
