Organisations and people working with children and young people in Pembrokeshire are being asked for their views on a new development strategy.

The strategy aims to improve services for young people by strengthening the adult workforce - as well as by improving the way different organisations work with each other.

"We want to ensure that all those who work with children and young people have appropriate skills and qualifications," said Gareth Mills, change manager - education at Pembrokeshire County Council.

"We also want to increase recruitment into the children's workforce and improve the retention of high quality employees," he said.

The new strategy has been developed by a special task group commissioned by the Children and Young Peoples Partnership in Pembrokeshire (CYPP).

If you work with children and young people and would like to know more about the draft strategy - and express your views - it is available on the county council website at: http://www.pembrokeshire.gov.uk">www.pembrokeshire.gov.uk A response sheet is available that can be completed and returned by Friday, May 8.

A consultation event about the new strategy will be held on May 6 at County Hall, 9.30 am - 1 pm.
