Mrs. Jeanne Grimes welcomed friends on entering the church on Sunday. These included several visitors from different parts of the country as far away as Eastbourne.
Mr. David Kinnard shared the family news and the worship time was led by Mrs. Sally Lloyd. Prayers for God's blessing on Mr. Nic Sutton and his family were offered as they move to Milford Haven.
During the open prayer time, a visitor to the church sang a song which he had composed himself, which was very moving.
The sermon was given by Mr. Billy Evans, who chose as his subject familiar words from the prologue of St. Johns Gospel 'The Word'. Billy illustrated, from scripture, the wide meaning of this phrase. It incorporated God, his Son Jesus, as well as the written word of scripture.
He then applied the phrase 'the word' to our ordinary day speech, being cautious to emphasise the importance, for the Christian, of a careful choice of words in dealing with situations.
