One of Tenby's best kept secrets is that the De Valence Pavilion has upped its game in a bid to become the 'in' place for stunning wedding receptions, 18th birthday parties, award ceremonies or a business event.
To show exactly how this venue in the centre of town has achieved this impressive status, a spectacular open day is being held to show exactly what's on offer.
The event called 'Let's Be Upstanding' features many different displays from local businesses and also in-house showing exactly what the experienced De Valence team can do. At this free event, the De Valence and in-house caterer will be offering you afternoon tea, champagne and canapés.
Scores of invitations have already been sent out, but anyone wishing to see what the De Valence can offer can collect invitations from the De Valence in office hours or simply come along on the day.
Catherine Graham, who is helping to organise the event, said: "We've been getting quite a reputation for our imaginative weddings, other celebrations and corporate events. They really are quite different and special with spectacular themes and designs.
"We know it's very important to make special occasions stay in people's minds for ever - and that's why we really push the boat out.
"As these are private events, not everyone can see what we do. We want to give a friendly opportunity for everyone to see for themselves," she added.
The 'Let's Be Upstanding' event takes place on Sunday, October 26, beginning at 2 pm. Anyone planning a special event, corporate function, awards ceremony etc., in the future should come to this champagne and canapés open day before choosing a venue.
