To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the birth of Welsh poet and author Dylan Thomas, cryptic sand art has been appearing on some of Wales' well-known beaches this week, including Tenby's North Beach.

The words 'Dylan would be proud' alongside the cryptic circles in the sand by artist David Marchant, of the Coalhouse Gallery, Mumbles, popped up in the poet's birthplace on one of Swansea's beaches on Monday, to mark Dylan's birthday, who would have been 100-years-old that day.

On Tuesday, the art appeared on Rhossili beach and then reached Tenby's North Beach on Wednesday, with photographer Gareth Davies capturing this shot high up from a garret on The Croft.

"Rumours in the sandy wind say that the cryptic message is within the circles and words and will lead on a trail that eventually ends in Laugharne," remarked Gareth.
