The newly formed Kilgetty Under 13s cricket team, ably led by captain, Josh Bevan, played their first league game at Hundleton last Wednesday evening.

Batting first, Hundleton scored 77 for 5, with Andrew Evans 2 for 16, Josh Bevan 1 for 7, and James North 1 for 14.

The Kilgetty side's fielding was superb with wicket-keeper, Jake Marsh, keeping the Hundleton batsmen on their toes with his quick reflex action.

Kilgetty went into bat, with Josh Bevan and Jake Marsh opening the innings, with Jake scoring the first run for the newly formed side. Josh scored 18 (three 4s), before being bowled by S. Arthur in the 11th over.

In the following over, Andrew Evans fell victim of Hundleton's J. Hay, after scoring five (including a boundary).

Alan Townsend (8) and James North (4) were desperate to score the required runs to give the newly formed team a win in their first outing, but had to be content to finish with the score at 66 for 3.

Kilgetty fielded: Josh Bevan, Richard Cope, Andrew Evans, Jake Marsh, Simon Merriman, James North, Matthew Smith, Alan Townsend, Aled Waters, Grant Watkins and Chris Watkins.

Kilgetty Cricket Club would like to thank everyone who supported the team and helped with transportation.
