FREE wildlife recording sessions with West Wales Biodiversity Information Centre are a great way to discover the local wildlife. Join them at Kilgetty this February.

Explore the local wildlife together, record the species you find and have fun looking at nature in a relaxed, practical session. Identification resources will be provided.

The Kilgetty session will comprise a short indoor introduction to wildlife recording, before heading out to explore the nearby habitats. If it’s wet, things can be brought back to be examined. Tea and biscuits will be provided.

Meet at the Kilgetty, Begelly Community Centre (What3words: lads.silks.cities) on Saturday, February 28, 10am-1pm.

Alternatively, there’s am outdoor session at Withybush Woods, Haverfordwest (What3words: stated.swan.ranking), 10am-1pm. Meet in the car park in the woods and dress warm and dry to look for winter woodland wildlife. In adverse weather, the event may be postponed, so email to confirm.

All are welcome, regardless of experience. Under 16s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Recordings are made via the LERC Wales app. To join in using the app, download it beforehand and create an account. You can also record using a notebook and pencil, and submit that to record.wwbic.org.uk .
