A DRIVER from Milford Haven has been disqualified for a year after driving near his home while under the influence of drugs.

Robert Poupard, of Priory Lodge Drive, appeared before Haverfordwest Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, September 1.

Poupard pleaded guilty to driving a motor vehicle with a proportion of a specified controlled drug above the specified limit. On February 20 at Milford Haven he drove a Peugeot car on Priory Lodge Drive with 15ug/l of cocaine in his blood.

The 48-year-old received a 12-month driving ban and a fine of £438.

The test also revealed 240ug/l of benzoylecgonine, but his guilty plea was taken into account and there was no separate penalty.

Costs were £85, with an £175 surcharge.
