A NARBERTH man has been fined for assaulting a woman at Whitland and causing damage to her jumper.

Timothy Webb, of Church Road, Crinow appeared before Haverfordwest Magistrates Court on Tuesday, September 1.

The 39-year-old pleaded guilty to assault by beating and criminal damage to property.

On March 8, at Whitland, Webb had assaulted the woman by beating her, and had also damaged a jumper, worth £20, belonging to the victim, intending to destroy it or being reckless as to whether it would be destroyed or damaged.

He was fined £384 for the assault and ordered to pay £100 in compensation, plus £20 in compensation for the jumper.

A surcharge of £154 was added to court costs of £85.
