A Haverfordwest mother has been found guilty of failing to ensure her teenager attends school regularly.

At Haverfordwest Magistrates Court on March 21, the defendant was discharged conditionally for 18 months, subject to a parenting order which requires her to: ensure the child attends school every school day and on time; contact the school by 9.30am if the child is unable to attend at any time; respond to calls, texts or voice notes from both the school and the Responsible Officer; attend meetings at school as requested, once every half term, to discuss any issues that have arisen.

The order lasts until the youth reaches the age of 18.

Costs were awarded of £100, plus a victim services surcharge of £26.
