Division One
Carew are the new leaders in Division One of the Antur Insurance Pembroke County Cricket League.
Carew scored 227 for 3 at home to St. Ishmaels with 70 of the runs coming off the last six overs.
Opener Nick Scourfield held things together with 69 not out, Wayne Cannon had a solid innings of 58 and Tim Hicks had a flamboyant innings of 61 not out with his 50 coming off 33 balls.
In reply, the stubborn last wicket partnership between James Salter and Paul Palmer prevented Carew from winning as St. Ishmaels held out for a total of 139 for 9.
Andrew Palmer top scored for the visitors in an innings of 70 before being trapped leg before wicket by Rob Scourfield after hitting five 6s and four 4s.
Rhys Davies, Tim Hicks, Ceri Brace and Rob Scourfield each took two wickets for Carew.
Haverfordwest, the defending champions, have moved up to second place following their 10 wickets win away to Llangwm who slumped from 89 for 4 to be bowled out for 121. Four of the wickets on 'Nelson' (111).
Josh Wilment took 4 for 19, supported by Stephen Phillips with 2 for 18 and Phil Kirkby with 2 for 32.
Harfat romped to victory with an unbroken opening stand of 122 between Danny Potter with 61 not out and Richard James with 57 not out.
The local derby between Lawrenny and Cresselly ended in a six wickets win for the visitors Cresselly upon reaching 136 for 4 in reply to a Lawrenny total of 135 all out.
Once again, Andrew Cole was the mainstay of the Lawrenny batting before being caught by Neilson Cole off the bowling of Lyn Richards after hitting eight 4s and two 6s in his innings of 53.
There were supporting knocks of 18 by Richard Prout and 17 by James Phillips.
Richards finished with figures of 4 for 31 from his 12 overs and there were two wickets each for Richard Harris, Ryan Lewis and Stefan Jenkins.
A second wicket partnership of 101 between Cresselly skipper Simon Cole with 64 and Phil Williams with 41 was instrumental in Cresselly reaching their target. Both batsmen fell to the spin of Brad McDermott-Jenkins who took 3 for 14 after Cresselly had been 109 for 1.
Whitland secured a draw with a total of 130 for 9 at home to Neyland who had been dismissed earlier for 162.
Paul Murray top scored with 38 with supporting roles by Nick Kooman and Paul Miller who both scored 27.
David Lee took 3 for 22, with Mark Lee and Carl Smith each picking up two wickets.
Opener Paul Davies and Steve Fraser both scored 34 for Whitland and Kevin Pearce backed up with 23, but Scott John with 3 for 15, Andrew Miller with 2 for 23 and Patrick Hannon with 2 for 27 took wickets at regular intervals.
Narberth reached 109 for 9 in reply to a Hook total of 169 for 6.
Ross Martin dominated the Hook innings with his splendid knock of 84 from 88 deliveries during which he scored 10 fours.
The major support came later on in the innings from Brennan Martin batting number seven who reached 31 not out.
The experienced Richard Howell took 3 for 29 for the visitors.
Five Narberth batsmen reached double figures, but no-one went on to get the big score necessary to chase down the Hook total.
Kyle Quartermaine scored 30 and later his brother Ben reached 17.
For Hook, Ben Field took 3 for 20 and there were two wickets each for Ross Martin, Jamie Phelps and Matthew Holder.
Division Two
Only two matches escaped the weather in Division Two where Cresselly Seconds have taken over the leadership after defeating the visitors Pembroke by 79 runs.
Opener Scott Arthur scored 49 for the Cresselly team and there were useful knocks of 24 from Simon Allen-Clarke and from Sam Harts with 20.
Danny Williams took 4 for 34 for the visitors who were bowled out for 86 in reply.
Sam Harts followed up his batting to take 4 for 14, Sion Jenkins took 4 for 44 and Huw Neale 2 for 14.
Paul White scored 15 for the visitors.
Carew Seconds were bowled out for 107 at Saundersfoot despite the efforts of skipper Martin Scourfield with 35 and Barry Evans with an aggressive innings of 25 which included four 4s and a six.
Yannick Parker took 3 for 25 and Kevin 2 for 30 for Saundersfoot who won by eight wickets after 17 overs with a total of 108 for 2.
Once again, there was a whirlwind innings from Daniel Caine who scored 72 from only 48 deliveries and hit four 6s as well as nine 4s.
In comparison, Paul Mansbridge batted more sedately for his innings of 23 not out.
Division Three
In a top of the table clash, Lamphey defeated the visitors Pembroke Dock by 60 runs to take over the division leadership from the Dock who have slipped down to third place in the table.
Lamphey had a first wicket partnership of 97 between Nic Johnson with 56 and Robert Mathias with 35, however, talented young pace man David Dunfee with 5 for 28 and left arm spinner Jason Coles with 3 for 25 triggered a collapse and Lamphey were held to 146 for 9.
In reply, the Dock were bowled out for 86. Early order batsman Peter Kingdom looked the part in his innings of 30 and young David Dunfee showed his all-round talent with a quality innings of 27 not out.
Lamphey skipper Jason Oatley took 4 for 15 and opening bowler Grant Cole 2 for 32.
Narberth Seconds restricted Llechryd to 73 for 8 in reply to a home team total of 113 for 9 in a match restricted to 33 overs each side.
There was steady batting by the Narberth batsmen as Aron Keane scored 23, skipper Andrew Williams 22, Greg Morris 18 and Gary Hughes 18 not out which included a gigantic six half way down the rugby pitch.
Teenager Adam Maehrlein scored 18 for the visitors who held out for a draw through the efforts of skipper Graham Keen with 10 and Steve Harding with 10 not out.
Spinner Nick Evans took 3 for 19 for the Narberth team supported by Gary Hughes with 2 for 17 and Mike Williams with 2 for 18.
For the visitors, Adam Maehrlein took 4 for 21, skipper Graham Keen 3 for 18 and John Curran 2 for 14.
Whitland Seconds made the long journey to Llanrhian, but the match was abandoned after Whitland Seconds had reached 128 for 3.
Openers James Davies with 49 and Matthew Webb with 27 had an opening stand of 70 supported by Shane Morgan with 21 not out and Edward John with 18.
Chris Cousens took 2 for 16 for Llanrhian.
Division Four
Only one match was played in Division Four and it was at Pembroke where the visitors Llangwm Seconds totalled 120 for 3 with contributions of 55 by Joseph Kiff and 41 by Ian Gow.
In reply, Pembroke Seconds were dismissed for 66 as Jonathan Brock took 4 for 19, Chris Thomas 3 for 19 and Rhys Morgan 2 for 5.
For Pembroke, Colin Kaijaks had the bulk of the runs with 25 and Chris Thomas was the only other batsman in double figures with 11.
Division Five
Four of the five matches in Division Five failed to start but in the local derby at Cresselly the visitors Saundersfoot Seconds were bowled out for 79 chasing a Cresselly Thirds total of 133 for 5.
Wicketkeeper Nick Jones with 61 and Shane Lewis with 27 put on 53 for the first wicket for the Cresselly team as Chris Hawkes took 3 for 31 and Sam Franklin 2 for 23 for the visitors.
Tom Arthur, Steve Davies, Phil James and Alex Bayley each took two wickets as the Saundersfoot batsmen struggled. The only three in double figures were Toby Smith with 19, Paul Morris with 15 and Chris Hawkes with 13.
Division Six
Joint leaders Stackpole Seconds bowled out the visitors Lamphey seconds for 21, with Chris Forth the only batsman in double figures with 13. Roger Lewis took 5 for 1 and Sam Evans 4 for 2.
Stackpole Seconds won by 10 wickets with Alex Wilkes scoring 19 not out.
Burton Thirds reached 112 before being dismissed away to Hundleton Seconds as Toby Hayman scored 22 and Steve Jones 21.
Carl John took 6 for 52 and Paul Edwards 3 for 17 for the Hundleton team who were bowled out for 85 in reply as spinners Morgan Scale took 5 for 22 and Steve Jones 3 for 13.
For the Hundleton team, Dean Lawrence scored 26, Paul Edwards 21 not out and Steve Eagles 15.
Pembroke Dock Seconds were dismissed for 61 at home Haverfordwest Fourths who had aggregated 215 for 7.
Colin Slater and Iwan Cunningham both had half centuries with Slater scoring 57 and Cunningham 51.
Neil Hallett took 4 for 65 for the Dock.
Cup cricket fixtures
