Around 500 vehicles took to the county's roads for Sunday's 10th annual Pembrokeshire Car Rally. Among them was this 1984 one-off Rover SD1 Vanden Plas customised into a two-door convertible with 3.5 V8 engine, which was driven by Doug Handicott, of Tenby, and Tony Bowen. Also seen alongside the car at Tenby's North Beach Car Park, where the 85-mile run ended, are organisers of the event, Jeff and Sian Edwards, Phil Thompson, of Chevron, chairman of Pembrokeshire County Council, Clr. William Roberts, and Mayor of Tenby, Clr. John Griffiths. Sponsored by the Western Telegraph, Chevron and Milford Haven Port Authority, the rally took entrants from all over the UK on a scenic route from Milford Marina through Haverfordwest, St. Davids, Fishguard, Newport, Eglwyswrw, Narberth and finally Tenby.
