Friday, January 30, will see Tenby Ladies Circle host their main fund-raiser with an Auction of Promises, at the town's rugby club.
With over 50 lots on offer and four local charities benefiting, members of Ladies Circle have been busy over the last couple of months contacting local businesses in search of items to auction.
Lots on offer include meals at The Bay Tree, Tenby, The Overlander, Penally, Park Road Chip Shop, Fecci Chip Shop, The Lounge, the Orangery Saundersfoot and the Carew Inn.
For the ladies, there is an Envy handbag from T. P. Hughes, as well as hair vouchers from Kate Blair, Janina Louise and Andrew Price, plus spa treatments at Swallow Tree Gardens, Heywood Mount Hotel and St. Brides Hotel, or how about an acupressure back massage with Elin Lawler BSc (Hons), LicAc, MBAcC.
The men might like to bid for a half-day's clay pigeon shoot at Baglan, complete with full Welsh beakfast for eight, golf lessons at Tenby Golf Club or maybe a football shirt signed by the Liverpool team who took part in the UEFA Champions League final in Athens 2007 against AC Milan, donated by Stephen Blair.
For children, there's tickets for quad biking, Tenby Museum and Art Gallery, Folly Farm, Oakwood, Heatherton and Blue Lagoon. A 30gb Apple IPod with carry case has been donated by Mike Carrington.
For the house, there's an hour of ironing, Phil Watkins cleaning windows, a day's child care, baby sitting, vouchers for iseacanvasart by Ben Fecci and 10 firemen who are donating four hours each in one day, which would be ideal for garden clearing etc.
If you're thinking of having a dinner party, what better way to finish it off than by having the table decorated, with name places, chic dining seat covers - everything to wow up to 10 guests, donated by Make it Pretty. Also available is a voucher to use at Elements of Floristry, and wine hampers.
Lydstep Beach Village has kindly donated the use of one of their luxury caravans for seven days, while there's one two-week and two one-week holidays available at the five-star Village Heights Golf Resort, Crete (accommodation only), for four people.
Also available on the night is a free eye test and 30 per cent off glasses at John Stevenson opticians, a voucher for Country Kitchen, two hour computer tuition with Shan Owens, a basket of fruit from Four Seasons, boxes of organic winter vegetables from James Joseph, hanging baskets at Priory Farm Shop, hanging of eight rolls of wallpaper with Dicky 'Mint' Lewis, preparation of a last will and testament with Lewis Lewis & Co, and to finish off one-hour hire of 'The Lady' limousine.
The four charities that will benefit from the evening are Wales Air Ambulance, Missing Wales, Pembrokeshire Special Needs Gymnastics Club and Tenby Museum and Art Gallery.
Under the experienced eye of auctioneer John Bancroft, the evening will commence at 7 pm. Tickets, £5 to include food and a disco, are available from Jazz Radio, Elements of Floristry, Waterloo House, and all members of Tenby Ladies Circle.
If anyone is unable to attend, 'phone or email bids are welcome. Contact Chairman Jayne Osborne on 842226 or e-mail [email protected]">[email protected]
