Local councillors met with Tenby's new police chief this week and there was a familiar face to greet the new inspector.
Tenby's Mayor, Clr. Mrs. Julie Evans, introduced Inspector Kath Griffiths to members at their meeting on Tuesday night and said that she had had the great pleasure of working with her at police headquarters in Carmarthen a few years ago.
Insp. Griffiths told councillors that she greatly valued working with the town council and looked forward to working alongside them.
Accompanied by PCSO Mandy Goodland, Insp. Griffiths said that she would be sitting down with her team and trying to pre-empt any problems that Tenby may have with anti-social behaviour when it gets busier during the summer season.
PCSO Goodland also said that their priority this month would be public disorder and anti-social behaviour, with a lot of under-age drinking in the town being tackled.
She encouraged people to attend the PACT meetings that officers hold in Augustus Place Community Centre every month, where members of the public can bring any concerns they have to officers.
