The ‘Florentines’ recently enjoyed another sunny summer outing for to a local Japan-inspired garden, followed by refreshments in the Potting Shed, Manorbier.

It followed the late-July members’ garden get-together, as a result of which £125 was raised for Haverfordwest-based hospice at home charity Paul Sartori Foundation.

Also in July, the ladies enjoyed a summer visit to Manorbier Castle. We were greeted by Katie (the Castle Manager) who told us all about the history, ownership and how the Castle is managed.

We all then enjoyed the most amazing tea, coffee and cake in what must have been the coolest location in Pembrokeshire! It was a stunning location and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the morning.

A huge thank you for Katie and all her team for a wonderful visit and we will be back soon

The Florentines WI are based in St Florence village near Tenby, where the church is holding a fete together with Manorbier Church in Manorbier Castle tomorrow (Saturday, August 22) between 4pm and 8pm.

Funds raised at this fete will support the churches in both St Florence and Manorbier. There will be stalls and refreshments and a raffle.
