Pembrokeshire College’s commercial team, Central Training, are now delivering a range of courses at the College’s MITEC site in Milford Haven.

Delivering a breadth of courses from Plant related training, Management, Health and Safety to Construction or Care, Central Training is a ‘one-stop shop’ providing extensive commercial and bespoke programmes.

A small group of learners from various local companies recently completed the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) Managing Safely course with Central Training tutor, Gary Tapley, who is taking advantage of the new location.

“I’ve taken the opportunity to take my learners for a walk around the dock area to look at examples of Health and Safety practice,” he said. “It proves useful for them to see real-life examples and provides a break from the classroom.”

Simon Brown from Haven Marine Services said that it was useful for some training to be held in MITEC with so many Marine companies based close-by.

“It’s definitely more convenient for me as I work on the dock, it’ll be great for local businesses,” he stated.

The college’s Central Training team deliver and design training tailored to suit the requirements of a variety of different businesses, with training held at MITEC or at a location convenient to the business.
