A busy week of activities to mark One World Week 2007 reaches a climax in Milford Haven this (Friday) evening. Organised by Global Connections, events have already included youth workshops, films, music and dance, while tonight, the Pill social centre will come alive with a lively programme that will highlight the dynamism and colour of West African culture. Doors open at 7 pm - the bar will be also be open - there will be Fairtrade goods on sale and art from The Gambia. The entertainment that follows will include a Fairtrade fashion show, a scintillating drum and dance performance by Kandara and Marcel and last, but by no means least, a performance by Molara's One Voice choir, who will belt out an African influenced set to remember. Global Connections would like to thank Milford Haven Port Authority, the Milford Haven Fairtrade Committee, the Arts Council of Wales DFID and the people of Milford for getting involved.
