SPAN - the lively arts promoting group, turn their attention to classical music today (Friday). The hugely successful and entertaining London Wind Quartet will play an unusual programme of short pieces at the Bethesda Chapel, High Street, Narberth.

The versatility of the London Wind Quartet has been delighting audiences throughout the UK for the last 10 years. Their unique blend of the serious and the amusing, the well-known and unusual, and the classical and light-hearted caters for all tastes.

London Wind Quartet have brought their distinctive style to thousands of satisfied listeners over many years. Their attractive and informative programme is complemented by a captivating and informal presence on stage, making contact with their audiences in entertaining and instructive descriptions of the music and the instruments.

Apart from their hugely successful sell-out concert in February, 2001, at London's Purcell Room, there can be no better accolade for an ensemble than to receive many invitations from audiences throughout the UK to make return visits.

As individuals, the members of the London Wind Quartet lead busy and varied freelance careers, playing with many of the country's leading orchestras and ensembles and taking them to countries throughout the world.

The players are Kathryn Seabrook (flute/tenor saxophone); Susan Fros (oboe/soprano saxophone); Graham Quilter (clarinet/alto saxophone) and Simon Holland (bassoon/baritone saxophone).

This concert is promoted with young players in mind, and is sure to be an inspiring experience for all. Students have a reduced price ticket of just £4.
