Sir,
I read with interest that several sites have been suggested to relocate the civic amenities facility, but some are susceptible to flooding.
What would be the possibility of utilising the land where the refuse tip of years ago used to be on Marsh Road, which appears to have been successfully land-filled and no longer floods? This location would also alleviate some of the traffic problems nearer to the town.
A second suggestion, depending on the time available, might be to use land-fill methods in The Salterns area to prevent flooding, and then relocate within the already commercial and industrial sector of the town.
Geoff Titterton,
