Tomorrow (Saturday) there will be traditional village celebrations in East Williamston. Families are encouraged to join in the countdown to lighting up the Christmas tree on the green at 6.30 pm, followed by singing of some well-known carols (lanterns and torches come in very handy to help read the word sheets).

Everyone is then invited to a get-together in the Community Hall, with refreshments, music, a bar and raffle. All are warmly welcome to share in this very friendly occasion, which has become a looked-forward-to annual event.

If the weather proves unkind, the carols will be sung in the hall, where the beautiful decorations will be as much admired as the lights on the tree!

East Williamston Community and Hall Association gratefully acknowledges a most generous donation of £125, recently received from Mr. Phil Thomas and family in memory of Phil's wife Mary. The money will be used to benefit the community in which she played an active part for so many years.
