On Saturday, July 14, a garden party was held in Pentlepoir at the home of Anthony and Janet Standing. A sumptuous afternoon tea was enjoyed by neighbours, friends, visitors and members of the churches in Saundersfoot.

Many people's lives have been touched by the caring work of the Paul Sartori Foundation, for whom £112 was raised. The charity is only limited in facilitating care for patients with long term illnesses and support for the families, by the amount of finance that is available. Charity shops and fund-raising events help to boost the funds received through donations.

Whilst other parts of the county are actively involved in fund-raising support for the charity, the Saundersfoot and Tenby area does not have a group of fund-raising supporters. It is hoped that the garden party will be just the first of two or three annual events in the area. Anyone who is able to give any help or suggestions for future events should contact Janet Standing on (01834) 811697.
