IT is not often you can find four good reasons for buying something you enjoy, but that will be possible next week at Picton Castle where a charity auction will be held to raise funds for HOPE Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre based in Neyland.
You can buy for enjoyment or to give as presents (Christmas will soon be here). Maybe you can buy as an investment in these days of low interest rates, while to top it all, you can end up with a warm feeling of doing good for a deserving charity
Pictures have been donated by the generosity of many eminent artists in West Wales to support HOPE.
The artists include well known names such as John Knapp-Fisher, Elizabeth Haines, Hazel Morris, Anne and Theo Whalley and Sylvia Watrass. There is also work by many up-and-coming artists, a wonderful chance of investment for the future.
Artefacts are represented by glass, ceramics and textiles, plus donated antiques such as birds under glass domes, dolls and porcelain.
Viewing for the auction will take place on Friday, October 23, from 2 to 8 pm, and the following morning from 10.30 am.
Auctioneer Chris Dungey will be in charge of the bidding, which will start at 1 pm in the Long Gallery at Picton Castle.
Enjoy a day out in the lovely surroundings of the castle, bag yourself a bargain and feel the warm glow that comes from supporting a worthwhile charity
